From the start of this pandemic we have worked to continue to provide our high quality of care while following all of the guidance coming from the CDC, NCDHHS, our childcare health consultant and the Child Care Strong NC Public Health Toolkit Interim Guidance, a state document published by the North Carolina DHHS.
Exclusions from Regent Park Early Childhood Development Center as well as returning to childcare will be determined by the most update guidance from the NCDHHS this information can be found at www.ncdhhs.gov , clicking NC DHHS COVID 19 (top right), clicking guidance and then clicking child care.
In working to limit exposure and follow the guidance for childcare we are not offering tours right now. Currently enrolled families are dropping off and picking up in our carline. All teachers and staff are wearing masks and parents/guardians need to wear masks for drop off and pick up.
While cleaning and sanitation have always been a huge part of our daily routines, even more sanitizing is happening throughout the day, all soft items are laundered daily (including but not limited to crib and cot sheets) and of course tons and tons of handwashing. We are also working to keep fresh air flow from outside coming into classrooms as much as possible. We will continue to follow the guidance for childcare and will update our operations accordingly.
Our COVID response is always open to change as we will conform and adapt to changes in guidance per the recommendations of the NC Department of Health and Human Services.
