ABOUT THE DIRECTORS
Co-directors Marlene Breger-Joyce and Diana Sutton have over 40 years
combined experience in childcare, child development, and education. In
addition to their vast experience in childcare direction and teacher
supervision, they recently designed a now-thriving infant/toddler center in
the Asheville area.
Marlene Breger-Joyce has a bachelor's degree in early childhood
education and a master's degree in special education from the University of
South Carolina. She holds a Ph.D. from Duke University where she majored in
learning disabilities and school psychology. She has worked with children of
all ages, stages, and abilities, and has supervised and trained teachers in
several different educational settings. She has also provided parent
education and college level instruction on topics ranging from
attention deficit disorders to interpersonal psychology.
Diana Sutton earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the
University of Kentucky and has spent over a decade of her professional life
becoming an expert in the field of childcare licensure and management.
All of their experience and knowledge come together in the creation of
this early childhood development center--offering a level of expertise and
professionalism unparalleled in the Asheville area.
